Cara Delevingne, plus Boucle coats, equals one happy Megan. Considering Autumn is slowly looming upon us, casting leafy pathways and chilly mornings filled with fog, what better time than to share with you what style of coat I am loving right now. And by loving, I mean completely and utterly obsessed with. The Boucle coat, or as I like to call it, the 'oversized-boyfriend-coat' that he gives you on a night out when it gets cold. I'm going off of what I've read in books and seen in films, I'm a loner.

What I love about this style of coat is that no matter what shape you are, this style suits pretty much everybody! The slouchy structure of the coat means that instead of hugging to any unwanted lumps and bumps you'd rather not share with the world, it sits smoothly upon your body and acts as a very flattering item, despite the loose structure.

Go for a muted pastel colour, or a muted taupe colour, although the colour isn't very striking or out there, it will add that little pop of colour to your darker clothing for autumn and acts as a great transition from summer colours into autumn colours. You can find many versions of this style of coat in pretty much any shops, retailing from prices such as £23 all the way to £100, bearing in mind the quality generally tends to be better the more expensive the coat is. If you're looking for a good investment piece, I suggest checking out the collection in TopShop, they have a variation of slightly differing Boucle coats, all in lovely autumn colours. If you're looking for a coat to last you just through to winter, I suggest checking out the collection in Primark, their collection consists of a lot more pastel colours, easing out of the summer trends.

What is your favourite style of coat?

Oh I do like to be beside the Sea Side

Why hello there my lovely chummies, it's been a good week since I last posted and I am deeply sorry but caravan's and 3G just don't mix well. For the past week I have spent my time sunbathing (or should I say rainbathing) in the lovely seaside town of Ingoldmells, the home of the one and only Fantasy Island. And also the home of two cute guys that work at the bar at the top of the beach, if you're reading this hi.

We had a lovely time at Fantasy Island, especially the market that sold everything form handmade trinkets to lovely original clothing pieces, all the way to Frozen poster, what more could you ask for. The beach, which was situated about 10 seconds from our caravan, was picturesque to say the least. The vast sands and calm sea was a sight only one could dream about, and the sunsets at night were breathtaking.

We even managed to make a new friend while we were on holiday, say hi to Stanley everyone

Being us, we decided what better way to spend out evenings than re-create the oh so popular cheerleading moves seen on Tumblr. And I can tell you now, it's not as easy as it looks my friends. Trying to balance on one foot on the beach, while at the same time trying to kid yourself that you are more flexible than you actually are is not as fun as it may sound, but I think our attempts deserve a round of applause, don't you? *claps alone*

The overall holiday was such a lovely experience, and I'm sad to be back, being at the beach just calms me. I am glad I got to experience it with my best friend and family and even though it rained, everyday, and I mean everyday, we still managed to make the most of it. Are any of you going on holiday? What was your favourite memory?

Week with the Megans #1

So this week my bestie Megan (yes we have the same name, yes we know how sassy and fabulous this is) has come to stay with me before we go on holiday and so for the next couple of days she will be guest starring on my posts this week *hooray*

This week we have decided to dedicate my posts to everything Holiday based, from holiday outfits, to holiday essentials. We've even come up with a holiday playlist to get you in the summer mood. Instead of writing it down, however, we thought we'd make it more, interactive, as such... Maybe scroll down a little further...

What's on your summer playlist? Are there any songs you secretly love to jam along to? I'm pretty sure we have you shown you our guilty pleasure summer songs, come on, cough up!

Summer Haul // 2 0 1 4

It's been a while my old chums, how is everyone, are you enjoying the sun? (that was a trick question,  there is no sun) I recently went on a few shopping trips, along with my best friend and lodger for the week, Megan, and we picked up a few bits and bobs we would love to share with you. Without further a dew, ON WITH THE SHOW!

I think my favourite outfit is definitely the Miss Selfridge Playsuit, the plunge neckline is very flattering without being too revealing, and the cut out at the back accentuates your waist and nips you in. Megan's favourite outfit is the black lace kimono teamed with the 90's style crop top and low waist jeans. The black tonal combination is very simple yet the lace adds an extra detail to the outfit. I would suggest pairing it with gold jewellery to add an extra bit of detail! The fedora hat would work perfectly for a night out!

What outfits are you guys loving at the minute? Have you found any bargains that you'd like to share? Let us know, we would love to hear your summer favourites!

OOTD /// It is what it is

Crop top (similar): here
Ripped Mom Jeans: here
Black boots: here
Sunglasses (similar): here
Nose rings: here

Cor blimey, it's been a hot past few days, hasn't it! What better way to celebrate the sun than an OOTD *cheers alone* Even though the sun may have made a welcomed appearance, this does not mean I will shove my black clothes to the back of the wardrobe only to seek them out in the colder months, oh no. I shall suffer the heat in style.

What I love about these jeans, although ripped to shreds, is the sheer movement of them. They fit like a dream and hug you in all the right places. I sometimes find with baggier jeans that they aren't the most flattering of items, however with Mom jeans, they synch you in at the waist and although there is not much structure to the leg of the jeans, they don't make you look frumpy.

If you're struggling to style mom jeans, ripped ones especially, try pairing them with a plain long white sleeved top tucked in, using accessories to add detail to the outfit. Simple crop tops like the one i'm wearing also pair well, as they do not take away from the complexity of the jeans.

Oh, and a tip, make sure your legs are shaved, there is no hiding those pesky hairs you may have missed.

Am I grunge yet?

Molina Crochet Lace Cami crop top (here)
Drew Black Ripped Mom Jeans (here)
Admire Suede Lace Up Boots (here)
Black Letter Print Loose Vest (here)
GOSH Eyeliner: Camouflage Green (here)
L'Oreal Color Riche Creme Crystal: Cappuccino (here)
Bourjois Color Edition 24h eyeshadow: Prune Nocturne (here)

Would you class this as grunge? I don't really know, okay i'm calling this 'tumblr grunge' and let me tell you now, I am in L O V E with this style, I feel like i've finally found my fashion destiny, it's just so beautiful! The messy and dishevelled appearance of this style is what draws me to liking it so much, making an effort without looking like you've made an effort, but at the same time making sure you don't look like you've literally rolled out of bed, perf.

Do you guys like the grungier look, or do you prefer something more girly? Maybe grungey and girly, grurly?

Howdy there

*slurp* Ahhh, hello lovelies, and may I welcome you to this oh so charming blog of mine (well, i think it's charming). I have lost count of how many times I have attempted a blog and it fail miserably, but seeing as it's now summer (praise the summer gods) for 3 more months, I decided 'Hey, what the heck, let's get this baby back up and running'. So here I am!

Oh great, hi yeah, thanks for joining us -_-

I could give you guys an introduction and tell you facts about myself that you are honestly not really interested in so I will spare you the boring details, because let's face it, who cares if I have 2 guinea pigs, or that my hair is brown, nobody, that's who.

(The amount of spelling errors I keep finding in this post due to the fact I am listening to 5sos and writing this at the same time is unbelievable, pull yourself together Megan)

Oh yeah, I guess I should introduce myself, Hi i'm Megan *waves*

Shall we tackle the necessary boring facts now, okay;

Name: Megan
Age: 18 *cries in a corner bc old*
Relationship status: pssh, pssh... what's a relationship and where do i buy one
Hobbies: does stalking members of boy bands count as a hobby, i'm gonna say yes

Wow, I feel like we are all best friends now (if anyone is reading this post apart from myself)

Maybe I should explain what my blog will consist of, that might help? Okay, bascs, I have been racking my brain for yonks trying to think of what to include on this blog. Like, I don't want it to be generic, ya know? So here is my idea, are you ready, i said, ARE YOU READY?

I want to incude everything, and I mean everything. I don't want to restrict my blog to 'beauty' or 'fashion' or 'lifestyle', I mean why can't I have it all? Where in the blogger's handbook 101 does it say you MUST choose just one? I want to make this blog interesting for you and me, because why write posts that you wouldn't enjoy reading yourself?

I am so excited to get back into blogging, you have no idea, but i'm gonna go for now before my cup of tea gets cold, ttyl MWAH!
